Care Assistant Jobs in UK — Check the Sponsor Register Before You Pay Anyone

This is the page that saves you from the most expensive lie circulating in our communities right now: the "UK care job with visa" sold by agents on WhatsApp. The register below is the Home Office's official list of every organisation licensed to sponsor workers. It is free, and it is the first thing you check.

The hard truth first

Since 22 July 2025, the UK has ended new overseas recruitment of care workers and senior care workers (SOC codes 6135 and 6136). Only transitional arrangements continue for people already in the route, running toward 2028. So if anyone offers you a fresh care-worker sponsorship from abroad today — that offer is false, whatever letterhead they show you.

What the register is still for

• It shows which organisations hold a sponsor licence and for which worker categories
• It is the government's own data, updated regularly, downloadable free
• Any company NOT on it cannot sponsor you — full stop

Check a company by searching its name exactly as registered. Fake recruiters use names one letter off the real company; the register catches that trick in seconds.

What you can realistically do now

1. Download the register and learn to search it — five minutes, no cost
2. Refuse every agent who quotes a price for a UK care visa
3. Watch the official GOV.UK pages for rule changes instead of trusting forwarded screenshots
4. If you already hold qualifying UK care experience, speak to a registered immigration adviser about transitional options

Red flags

"Processing fee", "slot reservation", "certificate fee" — the Health and Care Worker visa fee is paid to the UK government directly, and the amounts are published on GOV.UK.
